To add to Pete's post about the winged man...

This guy has been doing it for a while, and there are some pretty amazing videos on his website, specifically the page linked here.

The dude is pretty awesome. Some things he is currently workin on include taking off and landing on his own using his wings, which by the way, are powered by RC turbines.

Project Zeus...

The year is 2051. (Geezzz I'll be dead.) Hey did you know that Jupiter has 16 moons? It's like a mini solar system! I bet you that's where the aliens come from. LOL!
Artist Len Foster (website) submitted this conceptual artwork of the 'Zeus' spacecraft in orbit above Earth before departure to Jupiter.

Scale Engine Sound For Electric Planes and Helicopters...

TO COOL FOR SCHOOL... NO MORE WHIMPY SOUND

Aerosound r/c is proud to be the sole distributor of the exceptional Benedini r/c aircraft sound systems for the U.S.A. and Canada.

These sound systems perfected by Thomas Benedini of Germany are truly remarkable.

Many installations in electric powered aircraft have already been done, and the scale engine sound has to be heard to be believed. Weather you are building a large scale WWII aircraft or a 3 pound ARF, a Benedini sound system will make the difference between just another model and a model that looks and sounds like a real aircraft.

Check out our website for complete details and be sure to watch the videos.

Say WHAT?

That's right, the Super Sportster now comes in a 48" wingspan electric version. Greeny might comeback to life but will be red this time, and electric. The plane(arf), engine, gear, speed controller and battery, all for $109. All youneed is a charger and radio system, and you are good to go. Hell, in my case I just need the charger, I more than have old cannibalized radio systems from all the old bags.

Jet Blue plane loses piece of engine...

(03-18) 17:48 PDT West Palm Beach, Fla. (AP) --

A plane returned safely to Palm Beach International Airport shortly after takeoff Sunday after losing a piece of its engine cover, officials said.

After JetBlue Flight 830 took off about 6 a.m., the pilot radioed the airport that he had felt the plane vibrate and that he was returning, airport spokeswoman Lisa De La Rionda said.

The Airbus A320 was headed for New York's Kennedy International Airport and was carrying 150 passengers and six crew members, airline spokeswoman Jenny Dervin said. The flight lasted about 18 minutes.

Photo is not the engine in the story.
